The opportunity

The Total Rewards Sr Specialist will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and administration of compensation and benefits programs that aligned with the organization’s HR & Total Rewards strategy. This role requires in-depth knowledge of Total Rewards practices & processes, including salary structures/ pay range setting, benefits programs costing & administration, execution of annual compensation cycles, short term incentives, data analytics and market benchmarking. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7-8 years of HR experience with at least 3 years of total rewards experience preferably with understanding of UAE or US labor market dynamics, trends, and regulatory frameworks. Exposure to multiple geography is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Compensation Management:

  • Analyse and model merit increases, salary adjustments, and promotions to ensure alignment with internal policies and external market competitiveness.
  • Support in annual compensation cycles by driving data quality and system readiness checks, designing merit guidelines and compensation modelling.
  • Conduct market benchmarking studies using tools such as Mercer, WTW, and other salary survey providers to set pay/ salary ranges and assess the employee’s competitive positioning in the relevant market.
  • Administer incentive and variable pay programs in partnership with HR Services and Sales Excellence teams.

Benefits Administration:

  • Oversee the management of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, life insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Evaluate current benefits offerings to identify opportunities for enhancement based on employee feedback, externa data and trends.

Policy Development and Governance:

  • Assist in drafting, updating, and enforcing compensation and benefits policies to ensure consistency and compliance with UAE labor laws and global standards.
  • Monitor and report on emerging market trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in compensation and benefits to maintain the organization’s competitive edge.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze compensation and benefits data to generate insights, identify gaps, and recommend improvements to Total Rewards programs.
  • Support in manpower costing/ budgeting and budgeting inputs for Total Rewards & HR Function.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Total Rewards programs, including cost-effectiveness, employee satisfaction, and market competitiveness.

Collaboration and Consultation:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and HR Services by providing clarification on Total Rewards policies and processes.
  • Work with external compensation and benefits consultants to deliver market-specific insights and solutions.

Project Management:

  • Support Total Rewards-related projects, such as capability building, benefits renewals, or Total Rewards communication campaigns.

Qualifications

Required experience / qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPD, GRP) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in HR with at least 3 years in Compensation and Benefits or Total Rewards, preferably in a multinational organization with exposure to UAE/GCC and/or US.

Required Skills / Competencies

  • Attention to details, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in compensation tools and systems such as SuccessFactors, Oracle, or Workday. Success factors is preferred.
  • Knowledge of labour laws, tax regulations, and market-specific benefits practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI; familiarity with survey platforms such as Mercer or Willis Tower Watson.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced & dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
