Overview

Seeking an insightful, strategic, and visionary Senior Manager – Special Projects to oversee strategic initiatives at Core42, driving innovation, aligning projects with company objectives, and ensuring efficient delivery of high-impact solutions for our clients. The opportunity

The Special Projects team is part of the Chief Operating Officer Office, making you a key player in formulating business strategy, new venture incubation, developing strategic partnerships & alliances and leading cross-group projects and initiatives.

 

Core42 is the UAE’s national-scale enabler for cloud and generative AI, combining G42 Group’s expertise across multiple technology disciplines into a single platform for public sector and large enterprise transformations. Building on our capabilities as sovereign cloud and HPC specialist, we bring generative AI, cybersecurity, professional and managed services expertise to enable national-scale program deployments across industries.

Responsibilities

As Senior Manager - Special Projects, you will report directly to the Vice President – Special Projects.

  • Contribute to the planning, execution, and delivery of special projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables to support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Implement project management best practices to optimize project schedules, resources, and budgets, enhancing overall efficiency and excellence in project delivery.
  • Drive strategic decision-making by analyzing project performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective measures where necessary.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by exploring emerging technologies and methodologies and integrating them into project strategies and execution.
  • Establish and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes and sustainable growth.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and opportunities to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Leverage consumer insights, market/industry trends and leading benchmarks to guide the implementation of strategic initiatives at Core42.
  • Provide a single point of oversight and coordination for select initiatives and projects and work closely with initiative owners to drive ideation and implementation.
  • Ensure all risk mitigations and contingency plans are prepared in coordination with Risk Management team to avoid project delays.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing special projects, driving synergies across Core42.
  • Achieve and sustain alignment between the change initiatives and Core42's overall business strategy.
  • Contribute to the ideation process, as part of incubation, to formulate new business concepts and develop agile processes to accelerate the same.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA or equivalent.
  • 10+ years’ experience in Management Consulting (preferably strategy consulting firm).
  • At least 3-5 years of specific experience in leading projects related to AI, cloud computing, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • PMP designation or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Independent self-starter with a collaborative working style, strong work ethic and flexibility to take on wide range or roles and responsibilities.
  • Careful attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
