Overview

Provide expert guidance on cyber security best practices across the Core42 ecosystem, assessing the security posture of our clients' systems, and designing and implementing robust security solutions that protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their digital assets.

Responsibilities

Day to Day Operations

  • Lead the design and implementation of cyber security solutions for Core42 clients in line with industry standards and best practices.
  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments and vulnerability testing to identify potential weaknesses in clients' systems.
  • Develop and maintain security architecture frameworks, standards, and guidelines.
  • Formulate a continuous service improvement plan to ensure that tactical & strategic improvements are identified and delivered in line with Core42’s overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate security requirements into the overall system design and development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cyber security team members.
  • Stay abreast of the latest cyber security trends, emerging threats, and technologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Assist in incident response activities, including investigating and mitigating security incidents.
  • Conduct training and awareness programs to educate clients and employees about cyber security best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge of industry-standard security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing security solutions for cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  •  

Minimum Experience:

  • 11+ years of experience in cyber security architecture and engineering, with a focus on cloud-based environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting security assessments, vulnerability testing, and penetration testing
  • In-depth understanding of network security principles, secure coding practices, and cryptography
  • Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and security tooling
  •  

Job Specific Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Digital Transformation, Smart Cities / Nations, Cloud, and Cyber Security
  • Experience working in an AI-driven IT company or a digital transformation environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Outstanding communication skills
