Specialist - Tooling Systems

The Opportunity

To support and supervise the activities of a team of IT professionals who design, implement, and maintain Core42 Enterprise Management Solutions.

Your key responsibilities

• Provides technical requirements input, costing information, and feasibility data to Proposal Teams.
• Performs problem and task analysis and trending. Identifies improvement opportunities for process and technical service delivery areas internal and external to the immediate group.
• Implements or works with team members to implement appropriate enhancements.
• Identifies and communicates problems or potential failures and seek out/implement effective resolution to reduce system downtime.
• Responsible for second line problem resolution
• Responsible for escalating problems to Vendor support
• Makes proposals for improving the work of the team
• Provides input to the feasibility of designs. Plans and upgrades system designs, as necessary.
• Assists the team in the implementation of support systems to deliver a successful designed solution.
• Functions as part of a team providing 24*7 technical support cover.
• Supports senior members with customer facing meetings by availing supporting data
• Supports the transition of business into the group.
• Develops an understanding of the business or operational impact of technology changes.
• Updates technical designs and implement cost effective solutions where necessary
• Maintains up to date records of systems architecture design and corresponding documentation

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field
• 6-8 years’ experience in a relevant field and minimum of 5 years in EMS

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience in deploying and integrating OpenText/Micro Focus Ops-Bridge suite of products independently. Expert in Ops Bridge suite of products within depth hands on experience of at least 2-3 products in Ops Bridge suite
• Open Text/Micro Focus OMI, OMW, NNMi, Site Scope, BSM, RUM, CO.
• Open Text/Micro Focus OMi /OBM, ITOM CDF & Management packs & connectors (Mandatory)
• BVD / Optic DL reports (Mandatory)
• APM/BPM
• Reporting tools experience like Grafana, Power BI, Open Text Flex, OBR etc. (Either of these Mandatory)
• Working knowledge in any of the automation tool- MFOO, RESOLVE etc.
• Experience with one or more of security hardening, backup management, capacity planning, change management, or patch management
• Cloud Optimizer etc.
• Upgrading OM to OBM experiences
• Configuring Integration with Ops B Suite, other Open Text/Micro Focus Products, and third-party products
• Configuring High Availability, SSL SSO for Ops Bridge Suite of Products
• Conduct Product Knowledge Transfer Session to end customer
• Unix and Windows OS knowledge and experience
• Strong Perl/Shell / Python/Groovy scripting skills
• Database knowledge - general SQL skills
• Containerization concepts
• Load Balancer and Proxy configuration concepts
• Basic Networking concepts
• Experience on Event Management (e.g., Event Correlation, SNMP Traps, Agent/ Agentless Monitoring etc.), ConfigurationITSM V3/V4 foundation certification Management and Closed Loop Incident Management solution
• ITSM V3/V4 foundation certification
• In depth trouble shooting skills.
• Experience in working GSD, R&D for product related issues.
• Exposure to various Open Text/Micro Focus sites like SPAKS, Quixy, Selfsove etc.
