Overview

The opportunity

 

The Senior Process Specialist with expertise in the cloud environment will oversee capacity management processes, ensuring that our organisation's cloud infrastructure and services are equipped to fulfil present and current and future business requirements.

 

This position is on the first line of defense of our platform processes excellence and driver of continual process enhancements. As part of a process management team, the process owner will report to the team manager and will work closely with other process owners and the ITSM Tooling team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that a process is fit for purpose and is performed according to the agreed and documented standard and objectives of the process definition.
  • Establish and maintain Capacity Management process in the Core42 platform environment in alignment with the organisation's goals and objectives.
  • Analyse and report on the current and future capacity requirements of platform infrastructure and services.
  • Ensure that platform infrastructure capacity is optimised to meet business needs and minimise risks.
  • Collaborate with other ITIL process owners to ensure alignment and integration of processes.
  • Continually improve the capacity management process by identifying opportunities for optimisation and efficiency gains in the environment.
  • Act as the point of contact for all capacity management-related issues and queries.
  • Provide regular reporting and communication on the status of capacity management.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of infrastructure and services to ensure they meet agreed-upon service levels.
  • Develop and maintain capacity plans to ensure that infrastructure and services can meet future business needs.
  • Facilitate communication and awareness of capacity management process and procedures with stakeholders.
  • Provide training ang guidance to IT staff and business stakeholders on the Capacity Management process.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the capacity management process.
  • Process and procedure documents are always updated and relevant to organisational goals and strategy.

 

Qualifications

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science or related field.
  • Approximately 5-7 years of experience in IT service management, with minimum 3 years of experience in Capacity Management process including cloud environment and services.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL framework and related processes
  • ITIL certification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience with cloud service management tools, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
